Emirates Post unveils 4 stamps for Dubai 2026 World Exhibition

The commemorative issues celebrate international philatelic institutions and the Emirates Philatelic Association, as Dubai hosts a landmark stamp show bringing collectors, postal administrations, and rare material from 76 countries.

DUBAI (UAE): The Emirates Post has issued four commemorative stamps to coincide with the opening of the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition, organised in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association.

The exhibition, running until February 8, marks the first world-level stamp exhibition of this scale to be held in the Middle East. It brings together the international philatelic community and underscores the role of postage stamps as historical records and instruments of cross-cultural exchange.

The exhibition features participation from 76 countries, including the United Nations Postal Administration and the Universal Postal Union, with a dedicated competitive class for postal administrations. Thousands of rare and significant stamps are on display, offering collectors and institutions a platform for exchange, study, and dialogue.

The first commemorative issue marks the Emirates Philatelic Association’s hosting of the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition, the first event of its kind in the Arab region and West Asia.

The second stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), founded in Singapore in 1974. The issue recognises FIAP’s five decades of promoting philately and strengthening cooperation among member societies across Asia and Australasia.

The third stamp marks the centenary of the International Federation of Philately (FIP), established in 1926. The issue highlights FIP’s role in developing philately and setting internationally recognised standards for specialised exhibitions, as well as its growth into a global federation representing more than 90 member countries.

The fourth and final stamp honours the Emirates Philatelic Association, established in 1996, for its role in advancing philately, promoting UAE stamps, and supporting education, exhibitions, and knowledge exchange at both local and international levels.

Emirates Post said the stamp series reflects its commitment to supporting specialist, knowledge-based hobbies and reinforcing the UAE’s position on the global exhibition circuit. The issues also reaffirm the postage stamp as a vehicle of cultural expression and soft power, documenting milestones and conveying the UAE’s narrative to collectors and institutions worldwide.
